Thip Samai: the best Pad Thai in Thailand Bold claim? Clearly. Have I done the research to back this up? Not at all (though that would be a dream come true). But based on our experience at Thip Samai plus the experiences great travel bloggers who went before us, and eventually led us there, I feel confident that Thip Samai is at the top of the list.
Hi all! We’re baaaackkkkk! Yet again, another few weeks has flown by here at love and noodles with almost zero posts to show for it. Part of me is continually frustrated at myself for going MIA on this blog so often, but on the other hand it makes me smile to think that the reason I’m never at a computer is because we’re truly making the most of our time here with so many adventures!
My first recipe post! I’m so excited to share this easy, delicious, mostly healthy meal with y’all – it truly ticks off all the boxes. And an added bonus: I think this one comes off as kinda impressive! (Say, to your adorable fiancé who says “I can’t believe you basically made sushi at home!”) I guess using ingredients that you normally only eat in a restaurant do that trick.
So remember when I said my schedule was calmed down, I was feeling really settled in, and I promised to get back on track with the blogging? Well, J kind of messed with my plans and made the last two weeks a whirlwind…but I couldn’t be happier about it! BIG news (in case you missed the insta): We are engaged!!
As promised, picking back up on the blogging right away! But I never promised I’d go in chronological order… So just last weekend we got to spend three days in Bali! It was such an incredible trip to an amazing, beautiful island with the friendliest people we’ve met so far. As we tend to do, we rushed around the whole time to try to see as much as possible in our short time there, but one thing we did slow…
We have been in Singapore for 8 WHOLE weeks. And I haven’t posted on love and noodles since week 1! So here is why I never got on a roll with the whole blogging thing, and why I’m ready to pick it up now. Sorry y’all, this is a long one!
More on Day 1 in Singapore: love and noodles does House Hunters International! (Big HGTV fan right here…not sure if J even got the reference I kept making…)
Hello hello from love and noodles! Sorry for a couple of days of quiet – we really dove in headfirst to working life here in Singapore, so we have been incredibly busy! Hopefully the love and noodles insta feed has kept y’all up to date on at least the highlights of the last couple days. But now I’m playing catch up – so let’s take it back to Day 1.
Hello from Singapore! I’ve been here for almost exactly a day now, and definitely feeling overwhelmed. In a good way! It’s hard to believe it was such a short time ago that I was posting on love and noodles from Doha, because SO much has happened since…
Hi all! So remember when I said the next love and noodles post would be from Singapore? Scratch that. Greetings from Doha, Qatar! My layover is a bit longer than expected, so I figured I’d update y’all here while I had the chance. 15 hours of travel down, only 9 more to go! Some highlights/lowlights from the 12+ hr flight from DC to Doha:
